Seems like most of the acts releasing new music today don't come from the United States. It's like they don't have some monumentally important election hanging over their heads on this particular Tuesday. Must be nice. 1000 Rabbits is a lot of rabbits, and it's also the name of the buzzy London-based post-punk band that already impressed us with the singles "Virgin Soil" and "Rubik's Cube." They're young and they're on the label known as Young.

Old people note: Their new song "Stupid Boy" has nothing to do with Garbage's "Stupid Girl." Instead, it's a tangled, idiosyncratic number that starts out quiet and builds to a raging conclusion. The crescendos really hit, especially when the violin gets involved. Here's what the band says about it: This summer, we’ve had a wild time in Europe and the UK playing at festivals and touring our EP.

The song became a space to experiment with lots of facets of our performance — singing all together, getting into the crowd, dancing and shouting: things we’d never done before but that the song demanded. It’s cathartic, and sharing that feeling with an audience and seeing it resonate has been magical. It’s one of our wildest, angriest, most cathartic experiments so far, and we are proud of its volatile constitution — it could explode at any moment Check out the Cuan Roche-directed video below.
