New York Jets running back Breece Hall has missed each of the last five games with a quadriceps injury he suffered in Week 3. In his absence, backup running back Braelon Allen has emerged as an effective weapon for the Jets. Allen has 565 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns so far this season, including a career-high 147 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Week 8 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

However, Hall's return to the field seems to be on the horizon. When speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Hall is "trending in the right direction" as the team prepares for its Week 9 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. When asked how the Jets will split running back work once Hall returns, Glenn gave a blunt response.

"Both will play," he said with no elaboration, via team insider Rich Cimini of ESPN. The Jets are 2-6 to open up their 2026 NFL campaign, losing each of their last three games. Things don't get any easier this weekend as they face off against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

Sunday's game will kick off at 1 p.m.
