Maybe they should be done, what with the still-pending sexual assault lawsuit against Steven Tyler and all. After the band postponed their farewell tour a bunch of times, they canceled it in 2024, announcing that they were retiring from the road. Last year, they released their first new music in 12 years, and it was an EP with Yungblud.

Their Disney World rollercoaster is now a Muppets rollercoaster. But despite all those signs from the universe, Aerosmith have evidently decided that they've got at least two live shows left in them. On Oct. 29 and Nov. 1, the Hollywood Bowl will host two all-star extravaganzas billed as "Aerosmith & Friends." The shows essentially appear to be extended Aerosmith tributes, with guest appearances from tons of their contemporaries and admirers.

The advertised "friends" are the Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Eric Church, Sammy Hagar, Guns N' Roses' Slash and Duff McKagan, Tom Morello, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith, Alice In Chains' Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez, Extreme's Nuno Bettencourt, Andrew Watt, Marcus King, Steve Stevens, Adam Wakeman, Audley Freed, Kenny Aronoff, Train's Pat Monahan, and Godsmack's Sully Erna. Don Was will serve as musical director for both shows, and the sets of guests will vary from night to night.
