Austin indie rockers Being Dead seem ready to follow up their breakout 2024 album EELS. The band is back today with news that they've signed to Polyvinyl Records, and although we don't have any news on an LP, they're sharing their first two songs for the label. "Man Or Myth" and "Aquarium" are prime examples of Being Dead's modern take on Summer Of Love psychedelia.
The former song is inspired by freestyle canoeing legend Marc Ornstein, who agreed to be in the video despite his surprise at being the subject of a song. The latter, meanwhile, "explores the taboo nature of falling in love in the workplace, which is especially scandalous if the workplace is an aquarium and your coworker is a dolphin." Both songs arrive with music videos directed by Being Dead's own Falcon Bitch, and you can watch them below.
