Bo Nix addressed the heated scuffle he was involved in with teammate Nic Bonitto during the Denver Broncos practice.

As NFL teams prepare for their grueling seasons ahead, practices can get pretty intense. Multiple teams have experienced fights between teammates during training camp, including the Denver Broncos. According to DNVR Sports' Zac Stevens, the fight at Tuesday's practice involved star quarterback Bo Nix and teammate Nik Bonitto.

Reportedly, Bonitto, Jonathon Cooper, and Malcolm Roach's pocket collapsed, and Nix got knocked to the ground on a sack. He was heated after the play, got up, and threw the ball. He got into it with Bonitto several plays later after throwing an interception to Alex Singleton.

According to The Denver Post, Bonitto reportedly jumped onto right tackle Mike McGlinchey in a pile of players, prompting Nix to rush after Bonitto, then try to pull him off the pile by his leg. Bonitto and Nix then had to be held back by other teammates during the practice session. Following their scuffle, Nix told reporters how he felt about the incident.

Getting me ready for the games coming up, and it's a physical practice out there played by physical people," Nix said at his media session. "It got intense, and we were just really enjoying it, and sometimes in the dog days of summer, practice gets long, and the intensity runs high." When asked by reporters if he had any apologies over the incident, Nix indicated he didn't.

The latest altercation is one of several to erupt as things heat up at practices. Previous scuffles made headlines, including one involving Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase. Another featured a heated incident involving Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins and his teammate, defensive end Maxx Crosby.

However, Denver Post's Parker Gabriel called the Broncos scuffle "the most heated" he'd seen during the Sean Payton era. Nix is looking to make a strong comeback for another big season following that brutal injury in his team's AFC Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills. After hurting his ankle, he was unable to play for Denver, and they lost a rough, snowy AFC Championship Game to the New England Patriots, missing out on a trip to the Super Bowl.
