Calvin Klein’s iconic underwear ads have been a hot topic since the ’80s, as some of Hollywood’s hunkiest guys fronted the campaigns on blown-up billboards. Jordan, Justin Bieber, Jeremy Allen White, and Bad Bunny have been making the girls, gays, and theys go feral over the years, and its latest campaign star is no different. Now, the legendary fashion brand has met its match in global football star Jude Bellingham.
Aside from being one of the best soccer players in the world (and his friendship with fellow footballer Erling Haaland), the 23-year-old athlete is known for two things: his chiseled bone structure and killer abs. So, it’s no wonder CK tapped him as the face of its Icon Cotton Stretch underwear—and Cosmopolitan to share some steamy behind-the-scenes pics from the shoot, lensed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch in Madrid last summer. Calvin Klein is such an iconic brand, so it was great to bring that idea to life in my own way.” Before Jude’s debut CK campaign was officially revealed on November 2, the brand teased the collaboration with a billboard in one of its “out-of-home” placements in New York City.
The photo, which was blown up in SoHo, featured Jude’s signature muscles without showing his face for a full-circle IYKYK moment. It didn’t take long for Jude’s dedicated fan base to recognize the body that brought him all his accomplishments on the field. The brand also dropped a similar teaser to Instagram on October 27, writing, “The next icon.
Coming soon.” Everyone say, “Thank you, Calvin Klein,” for blessing us with these new pics of Jude!
