The Kansas City Chiefs will open up their 2026 NFL season with a primetime "Monday Night Football" matchup against the Denver Broncos later this evening. This Week 1 matchup marks the return of superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear in Week 15 of the Chiefs' 2025 season. Kansas City finished last year's campaign with a 6-11 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
