Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes ties Tom Brady for an NFL record after his team's Week 6 win over the Chargers.

The Kansas City Chiefs continued their perfect season to date with a dominant victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. In the process, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes further cemented himself as one of the greatest winners in the history of the NFL. It wasn't a banner day for Mahomes individually by any means.

While he did put up 272 yards through the air, he did throw an interception in the red zone and did not record any passing touchdowns. But as has been the case for much of the season, star running back Kenneth Walker had a huge day, recording 128 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns in the 22-6 win. This win puts Mahomes in an elite category he shares only with former New England Patriots star Tom Brady in regards to how many starts it took the two to reach 100 career wins.

According to ESPN, via their ESPN Insights account on X, this win puts Mahomes at 100 career wins in just 131 career starts, which is tied with Brady for the fewest number of starts it has ever taken a quarterback to reach this milestone. Tying someone like Brady in any category related to team success is obviously an incredible feat. But given how impressive the Chiefs have looked thus far this season, there is likely much more on Mahomes' mind than just tying an NFL record.

Sitting at 5-0 on the year, it sure looks like the Chiefs organization is back to being a powerhouse in the AFC and a true Super Contender, if not a Super Bowl favorite. Mahomes and the Chiefs will look to continue their winning ways in Week 8 when they face off against the Seattle Seahawks.
