Christina Applegate has shared a first look at her life outside the hospital following a months-long stay amid her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis. In the video, shared on Applegate’s Instagram account, the “Married… with Children” star is seen showing off her blonde hair while wearing a black zip-up hoodie. The Emmy winner also shouted out those who have been supporting her: “Love you and love to you all out there,” she wrote.
News first broke that Applegate had been hospitalized back in March, though the next month, she took to Instagram to share that she’d been “getting stronger and better every day.” “Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes,” she wrote in her caption on Monday. I’m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I’ll be back with more to say soon enough.” Applegate first announced her MS diagnosis in Aug. 2021, and made her first public appearance when she attended her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony the following year. When she took the stage during the ceremony, the “Dead to Me” actor began to cry when talking about her daughter.
You are so beautiful and kind and smart and interesting. I’m blessed every day that I get to wake up and take you to school…thank you for standing by me through all of this.” Speaking to the audience, Applegate added, “Every single one of you. I love you [all] so much.”
