CNN‘s channels went dark on Monday across multiple distribution points, a problem the news network attributed to a “technical issue” at parent company Warner Bros. Discovery that resulted in losing CNN channels for a period of time today,” the news outlet’s PR team said in a statement. ET, according to monitoring service Downdetector, with 893 user-contributed error reports.
Most of the problems reported were related to the live channel. On air, CNN anchor Dana Bash acknowledged the technical problems. She told viewers on the “Inside Politics” show at about 12:51 p.m.
ET, “Welcome back, and we are back. There was a technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery’s channels that resulted in losing our signal.
We’re very sorry for the interruption. We are very happy to be back.”
