However, a recent decision by Herbstreit involving Peter has drawn plenty of criticism from college football fans, just as the season got underway. On Saturday, Front Office Sports shared a quick video clip of Herbstreit's latest venture, the opening of his "Peter Fan Club Pop-Up Shop" featuring all sorts of Peter-themed merchandise.
The pop-up store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, features an assortment of items, ranging from light blue shirts with the message "Where's Peter" on the front to hats, coasters, and soft beverage holders. Many of the items are light blue and white with Peter's likeness on them. While it appears cute and fun for anyone who is a loyal fan of Peter, many commenters slammed the latest move by Herbstreit featuring his pet.

"if i looked up the word 'narcissist' in the webster english dictionary, Kirk Herbstreit should be right next to that word," another commenter wrote. "This is unnatural, forced, and beyond weird.
There is no audience for this. It’s like doublespeak and being shoved down our throats. No one gives a [expletive] that Kirk owns a dog??" another individual commented.
