The Dallas Cowboys are off to a disappointing start in their 2026 campaign, dropping to 3-5 on the season after this past Sunday's stunning Week 8 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. So far, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense have been unable to overcome a Dallas defense that allows a league-worst 385.4 yards per game. In the team's 33-30 overtime loss to the Cardinals, the offense was out-gained in total yards, passing yards, rushing yards and yards per play.
When speaking to reporters on Thursday, Prescott was asked if his team has found their offensive identity at this point in the season. "Yeah sure, I mean, is it one we're proud of? I don't know," he replied.
This coming Sunday, Prescott and the Cowboys have the opportunity for a get-right game against the struggling Indianapolis Colts. If Dallas is unable to get the job done against the Colts — who are in the midst of a serious rebuild — the season will have hit a new low. Sunday's clash against the Colts will kick off at 1 p.m.
