Trump addressed his issues with polling in a Truth Social post on Monday. He accused the “Radical Left Democrats” of “going CRAZY with Fake Polls.” “They’re putting them out at levels never seen before,” Trump wrote. Disapproval of Trump surged to a record high in a new /Ipsos poll released on Monday, with 65 percent of respondents saying they disapprove of the president’s job performance.
Thirty-three percent, meanwhile, said they approve of Trump. It surveyed 1,215 adults nationwide from August 21 to 24, 2026 and had a margin of error of ±3 percentage points. An Echelon Insights poll released last week found that 40 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance, compared to 59 percent who said they disapprove.
It surveyed 1,002 likely voters from August 13 to 17, 2026, with a margin of error of ±3.4 percentage points. YouGov and The Economist found in their latest poll that 35 percent of Americans approve of Trump, while 61 percent disapprove. It surveyed 1,611 adults from August 14 to 17, 2026, and had a margin of error of ±3.4 percentage points.
