The UK electronic group began as a trio but were a duo by their second album, 2016's 25 25. Now they're a trio again and announcing the long-awaited followup One Trip, arriving just next month. Original members Gabe Gurnsey and Nik Colk Void are joined by Joe Ward on additional percussion.
Since last year, they've been releasing a string of singles: "Between You," "Tell Me," and "Buzz Saw." Today, there's two more singles: "Continuation" and "One Trip." Their reunion began in 2024, when Factory Floor were invited to perform at Montreal's MUTEK. "After the MUTEK performance, we felt an appetite to work in a space where artists could connect emotionally and physically, both in the studio and on a live stage," the band says. "These environments hold more than sound; they carry a visceral energy that comes from being together.
It's something we'd really missed as solo artists, and it made us want to explore that kind of experience again."
