FlightAware has dropped its lawsuit against Kalshi one day after filing the legal action. FlightAware, which is the world's largest flight-tracking platform, voluntarily dismissed its legal action in U.S. District Court on Aug. 11.

FlightAware had sued Kalshi on Aug. 10, alleging that the prediction market improperly used its data and trademark to "run gambling markets on flight cancellations." Kalshi denied the accusations and claimed "fair use" of FlightAware data.

Analysts said the quick dismissal of the lawsuit likely indicates that the parties worked out a deal privately, possibly involving some form of payment for use of FlightAware's logo and data by Kalshi. Kalshi has also revised its website to include a link to FlightAware's website. Both FlightAware and Kalshi are privately held companies and their stocks do not trade on public exchanges.
