An NFL quarterback is looking for a fresh start before the regular season after a frustrating beginning to his career. The Tennessee Titans selected Will Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He made a total of 21 appearances and starts for the Titans before they drafted Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft.
Per multiple reports, the Titans waived Levis on Sunday. He's expected to clear waivers and hit free agency this week. Levis apparently wished to be waived from Tennessee.

"I'm told Levis wanted out. Gets the fresh start he coveted." Levis went 5-16 as a starter for Tennessee.
He threw for 3,899 yards, 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Earlier in training camp, Levis told reporters he's grown a lot since coming into the league. He believes he's gained the confidence to be a good quarterback in the NFL.
"I feel like I worked a lot for others peoples' approval at the beginning of my career whereas I am just trying to be the best version of me at this point," Levis said, via the Titans. "And I have more confidence than I've ever had because of that. I don't need to go out there and win X amount of games to feel the confidence; I have the confidence right now.
"I know that I have put the tape out there already that I'm a dang good quarterback in this league, and I am better than I ever have been." Levis will have an opportunity to show another team what he can do now that he's been waived from the Titans. He'll have to work his way up the depth chart wherever he goes. Malik Willis, who was drafted by the Titans in the third round of the 2022 draft, had better luck elsewhere, serving as a backup for the Green Bay Packers in 2024 and 2025 before becoming the starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins in the offseason.
