( maaaaaaade it!” Oprah booms in her signature joyful alto. Behind her, “fall is falling,” as she puts it: orange and yellow trees blazing against a bluebird Colorado sky.
The other bright colors in her recent Instagram reel? Her neon purple Aviator Nation sweatsuit and pink sunglasses—an instantly iconic hiking look that sent me straight down a Poshmark rabbit hole. She’s also sporting LEKI cork-grip trekking poles, Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GORE-TEX hiking boots (now sold out, but the latest model is available at REI), an Osprey fanny pack, and her go-to wide-brimmed Akubra hat.
It’s not the first time Oprah has rocked a matching sweatsuit outdoors. She posted the lilac Aviator Nation sweatsuit on October 26, 2025, in an Instagram carousel that also featured her in a light blue sweatsuit. As a comfort-first gal who doesn’t think you need to spend hundreds of dollars to go outside, I needed that comfy sweatshirt-and-sweatpants combo in my closet ASAP.
Unfortunately, her exact outfit is no longer available—so I found four cozy, colorful dupes that’ll have you glowing as brightly as the foliage on your own fall hikes. While the exact outfit Oprah wore to hike in Colorado seems to be gone for good, Aviator Nation has plenty of similar looks you can still shop. This sweatshirt and sweatpants set claims to be “the most comfortable sweatpants you’ll ever own,” and honestly, I see no evidence to the contrary.
A heads-up on sizing: The sweatpants run small, while the sweatshirts run large. The material is a tri-blend fabric of 50% polyester, 38% cotton, 12% rayon—not the most technical material around, and I’d expect it to pill and snag on brushy trails. Warning: You WILL look a bit like Barney in this purple sweatsuit, but at least no one will miss you on the trail.
If Barney isn’t your vibe, there are plenty of tamer colors, too. For a more affordable alternative to Oprah’s pricey hiking sweatsuit, go straight to REI—do not pass Go. REI’s in-house line is easy on the wallet and technically capable.
