He added 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns, already looking like one of the NFL's premier dual-threat quarterbacks. Any speculation of a dropoff quickly faded in Week 1 of this season as well. In the Giants' season-opening win over the Cowboys, Dart went 23 of 29 for 230 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions, adding 54 rushing yards.
The Giants have been revitalized under Dart, and now the ascending superstar will be forced to miss the remainder of his second season in New York. It's a devastating blow for a Giants squad that looked every bit like a potential playoff team leading up to the injury. McCarthy, Anthony Richardson, and Shedeur Sanders.
