More than 55,000 expected runners took to the streets of the Windy City for the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 11. According to race organizers, it’s the largest field of entrants ever assembled for the World Marathon Major, and the event also featured star-studded elite races packed with intriguing storylines. Though 60-plus-degree morning temperatures and high humidity made for less than ideal racing conditions, the elite athletes still showed out.
