We’re several weeks into Dancing With the Stars and multiple celebs and pros have been sent home. Conner Leavitt and Adele Zaikman, Sarah Jane Nader and Hailey Bills, Giada De Laurentiis and Alan Bersten, Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart, and—most recently—Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong. And while the celebs head home post-elimination, the pros are very much still on the show.
Brandon Armstrong’s wife Brylee Armstrong explained his schedule last season on TikTok, saying, via E! News, “Brandon is still very much a pro on the show. Just because his partner was eliminated doesn't mean that he just gets the boot and he's gotta pack his bags and go all the way back to Utah.
Sometimes we joke that they kinda get busier when they get eliminated, because then they get added to other people’s dances, so instead of dancing once a night, they dance multiple times. Essentially, they become another member of the troupe. The troupe are basically the background dancers.” Brylee explained that once pros head to the troupe post-elimination, they have “more opportunities to do choreography” as they work on opening numbers and help the pros that are still on the show.
Brylee also responded to concern that the pros stop getting paid after they’re eliminated, saying “Dancing With the Stars takes care of its people, so no need to worry, but I appreciate you guys for being worried about him.”
