Jalen Hurts visited the Eagles’ facility during blood clot recovery as Philadelphia prepares to start Joe Milton III.

Jalen Hurts visited the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice facility Wednesday as he continues to recover from blood clots, ESPN’s Tim McManus reported. Philadelphia enters Sunday’s home game against the 4-2-1 New York Giants at 2-6, having lost six straight. Hurts attended the team meeting and other meetings but did not address the group.

Some players had not seen him since he went on injured reserve, and his presence lifted spirits for some inside the building, according to the report. Hurts remains on injured reserve. ESPN and NFL Network have reported that he is expected to miss the rest of the 2026 season.

In an Oct. 19 statement, the Eagles and Hurts' agent, Nicole Lynn, announced that further testing had identified deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli, or blood clots in both lungs. They said he was clinically stable and that they did not anticipate any long-term effects from the condition. The treatment plan called for blood thinners, with contact activities prohibited during that treatment.

The statement also said Hurts could remain involved with the team and continue conditioning while he recovered. The Eagles and Lynn said they expect Hurts to have the opportunity to resume contact football once he is off blood thinners. Hurts was initially diagnosed with a superficial clot in his left calf while the Eagles were in London.

He played against Jacksonville on Oct. 11, and Philadelphia placed him on injured reserve Oct. 17. Philadelphia is now turning to Joe Milton III against the Giants, according to reports from ESPN and NFL Network. Milton joined the Eagles from Dallas' practice squad Oct. 16 and will replace Tanner McKee.

McKee started the past three games, throwing for 638 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Philadelphia's latest defeat was a 27-10 loss at Washington.
