Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reacted to his team's loss to the Buccaneers in "Thursday Night Football."

On Thursday night, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys took the field against a winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad relying on their rookie backup quarterback, Jalon Daniels. And Daniels, along with teammates including running back Bucky Irving, helped stun everyone at the Cowboys' stadium with a 24-16 win over the Cowboys. Among those watching in person as he does at most Cowboys games was owner Jerry Jones, who reacted to the "disappointing loss" in Dallas.

"I appreciated any chance that we might have had there near the end," Jones told reporters, adding, "but the Buccaneers really took it to us." "In my view, they did it inside ... That's really surprising to me, and so that's what it is. We missed a great opportunity here to build something, but they, really most of all the phases, they won them there tonight," he said.

"But this is very disappointing, and I know it's disappointing to our home crowd. It is to me," the Cowboys owner shared postgame.

During the game's broadcast, Jones was shown on camera multiple times observing the action from a box. One particular highlight clip hit the internet in which Jones reacted to tight end Jake Ferguson being unable to catch a pass from Prescott and the Buccaneers' defense intercepting it to seal their win. After seeing what transpired, Jones slammed his hand down on the surface in front of him, clearly displeased about a fourth-quarter miscue that ended the Cowboys' chances of winning.

Defense seemed to be the glaring issue for the Cowboys, who allowed the Buccaneers to move down the field with ease and rack up 419 yards on offense. Irving had his way, finishing with 176 rushing yards in the win, along with one rushing touchdown and another on a pass from Daniels. The undrafted rookie out of Kansas completed 19 of 25 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions.

He was sacked just once and seemed to have plenty of pass protection, allowing him to make the plays his team needed on scoring drives. Tampa Bay also held the ball for nearly 40 minutes, compared to Dallas having the ball just over 20. Prescott threw for 316 yards and a touchdown in the loss, but also had two interceptions and seemed to be unable to find a flow in the game due to the disruptive Buccaneers defense.
