The New York Jets will face the Chicago Bears in Week 4, and it is an important matchup for the AFC East team. After losing their Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions 31-24, the Jets are on a two-game losing streak and have a 1-2 record. Due to this, this matchup against the Bears feels like a must-win game for the Jets.
However, unfortunately for the Jets, they are officially going to be without two of their two key starters against Chicago. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell have been ruled out for Week 4's game against the Bears. This is undoubtedly bad news for the Jets, as Hall and Mitchell are both important parts of their offense.
Yet, the Jets will now need to adjust with both of these players both being out for Week 4. Hall has appeared in three games this season with the Jets, where he has posted one touchdown, 51 rushes, and 163 rushing yards. This is after the five-year NFL veteran posted four touchdowns, 1,065 rushing yards, and 243 receptions last season.
With numbers like these, he is a major part of New York's offense. As for Mitchell, he has nine receptions and 123 receiving yards in two games this season for the Jets. This comes after he had two touchdowns, 33 receptions, and 453 receiving yards in 16 games split between the Indianapolis Colts and Jets last season.
Overall, the 23-year-old wide receiver has shown promise early on in his career, so the Jets will be hoping that he can return soon.
