The Pittsburgh Steelers are having an up-and-down start to this season, as they currently have a 2-2 record. The Steelers have also been dealing with injury trouble early on this campaign. Now, they have gotten some concerning news regarding key wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.
According to PennLive's Nick Farabaugh, Pittman was seen using a scooter to move around in the Steelers' locker room and had his left foot propped on it. With Pittman being a very important part of the Steelers' offense, it is very concerning to hear that he is using a scooter to move around right now. If he ends up needing to miss time, the Steelers will need to find a way to adjust.
This is especially so when noting that he is Aaron Rodgers' top weapon on the Steelers. Pittman already missed Pittsburgh's Week 2 matchup against the New England Patriots due to a foot injury. With that, this foot injury has been impacting him for a while.
In three games this season with the Steelers, Pittman has recorded zero touchdowns, seven receptions, and 89 receiving yards. This is after the seven-year NFL veteran had seven touchdowns, 80 receptions, and 784 receiving yards in 17 games for the Indianapolis Colts last season. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if Pittman will be good to go for the Steelers' next game against the Colts on Oct. 11.
