Latest Lamar Jackson Update is Not a Good Sign for Week 5

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson wasn't spotted at practice for the third straight day as he deals with an ankle injury.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered an ankle injury during the first half of Week 4's win over the Tennessee Titans. He was unable to take the field in the second half, and was spotted leaving M&T Bank Stadium with a walking boot on his left foot. Jackson is listed as questionable for this weekend's "Sunday Night Football" matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

However, it appears the superstar signal caller is trending toward a missed game in Week 5. For the third day in a row, Jackson was not spotted for the open media portion of practice on Friday. He was a non participant on Wednesday and Thursday as the Ravens prepare for Sunday's contest.

While three consecutive missed practices is not a good sign, Ravens head coach Jesse Minter did say Jackson could play on Sunday without any practice participation throughout the week. Jackson threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns in the first half of this past weekend's win over the Titans. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley threw for 63 yards in relief of Jackson in the second half.

If Jackson is unable to go, Huntley will get the start against the Falcons on Sunday night.
