ESPN reporter Kris Rhim caught up with him after the incident to hear his side of the story. Clemons revealed that James had apologized immediately after the collision. Despite losing his drink, he was not particularly bothered by the exchange.
When asked how he felt about the unusual interaction, Clemons made it clear that he was not interested in keeping the cup as a souvenir. The 76ers improved to 7-1, strengthening their early position in the Eastern Conference.
