Leeds were made to pay for countless missed chances as Brighton fought back to claim 1-1 draw - and continue the Whites' struggles down at the south coast. Leeds have had no joy at Brighton in recent years - their last win at the south coast club came in 2009 while their last goal at the home of the Seagulls was in 2012. But Jayden Bogle ended that run by tapping home from close range after Ao Tanaka kept the ball alive following Bart Verbruggen's save to deny Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds striker Calvert-Lewin should have had a first-half hat-trick, putting a one-on-one wide early on before seeing an effort cleared off the line by Lewis Dunk after rounding Verbruggen in the minutes following Bogle's opener. Tanaka then hit the bar almost immediately after that chance, before the Leeds midfielder had an effort ruled out for offside after the break. Anton Stach also had a close-range effort well saved as the chances grew.

But as Leeds missed chances, Brighton's confidence grew. After Malick Yalcouye and Charalampos Kostoulas went close, Luka Vuskovic got off the mark at his new club by heading home from a corner. Brighton could have won it when Promise David was found in the box but he fired over - then Pascal Gross missed an even bigger chance as he scooped over from four yards out.

But the most wasteful team on the day were Leeds, who ended up with an Expected Goals tally of 2.7 - but ended up with only one goal and one point. 5: BIG CHANCE! Calvert-Lewin breaks through on goal but sidefoots the one-on-one wide. The offside flag goes up on the Leeds striker, but replays show it may have counted. 15: GOAL!

Calvert-Lewin has a close-range header saved by Bart Verbruggen but Ao Tanaka pulls it back across for Bogle to tap home on the goal line. 23: OFF THE LINE! Calvert-Lewin thinks he has made it 2-0 when he rounds Verbruggen but Dunk clears his shot from off the goal line. 24: OFF THE BAR! From the resulting corner, Tanaka strikes the bar after being found unmarked at the back post. 27: CLOSE!

Pascal Gross nearly levels for Brighton when his sliced free-kick flies just over James Trafford's bar. 29: SAVE! Brighton get their first shot on target when Olivier Boscagli's crossfield pass is volleyed at goal by Diego Gomez, but Trafford saves at the near post. 49: BIG CHANCE! A long throw falls into Anton Stach's path but his close-range effort is saved by Verbruggen. 51: GOAL DISALLOWED!
