The Detroit Lions' Jameson Williams received another fine this season after what he did in his team's win over the New York Jets.

The NFL revealed its accountability report for Week 3 games, and the Detroit Lions continue to rack up fines through three games, with receiver Jameson Williams getting another hefty fine for his in-game actions. After losing to the Buffalo Bills the prior week, Williams and Detroit took on the New York Jets at home as the Lions looked to bounce back. With 1:53 left in the third quarter, Williams caught a pass from quarterback Jared Goff, then lowered his helmet into Jets cornerback Azareye’h Thomas, making helmet-to-helmet contact and causing Williams' helmet to pop off.

According to the NFL's accountability report, the play was deemed unnecessary roughness for "use of the helmet." Williams received a $23,417 fine for the incident. The Lions went on to win 31-24, improving their record to 2-1 to keep them tied for second with the Chicago Bears in the NFC North. Williams finished with four receptions for 49 yards.

The Lions were at the Jets' 21-yard line, and Goff connected on a pass to Williams, who then lowered his helmet and hit the Jets' Thomas' helmet. After Williams' helmet came off, he stood up, still helmetless, and flexed to celebrate as Thomas got up from the field.

For the Lions' receiver, it was yet another fine for his list so far this season. He received two fines in his team's Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills. In that Week 2 loss to the Bills, Williams was hit with a $11,941 fine for taunting in the second quarter.

He also received a $14,926 fine for illegal celebrations and vulgar acts in the third quarter. Brown received four separate $14,972 fines for "Illegal celebrations and vulgar acts" in that game, totaling $59,704. The Lions' Penei Sewell and Jahmyr Gibbs also received $14,972 fines for "Illegal celebrations and vulgar acts" in the third quarter of that loss.

The Detroit Lions are back on the field on Sunday, Oct. 4, when they visit the Carolina Panthers for NBC's "Sunday Night Football" at 8:20 p.m. More news: Kay Adams Makes Head-Turning Jaxon Smith-Njigba Prediction For more about the Detroit Lions and the NFL, visit Newsweek Sports.
