Scott Tinkham and Michael Woloson’s indie feature “Littermates” is headed to the big screen. The comic dystopian feature is set to open at over 30 Alamo Drafthouse locations on Nov. 6 via Alamo Exclusives. The film will also have a special presentation screening at Fantastic Fest on Sept. 20, with a conversation with the filmmakers and cast to follow.
The film, which was produced in just 15 days, stars Joey Bader, Kaylee McGregor, Oliver Woolf and Jack Redmayne. Tinkham wrote the script, and the film was produced by Woolf, Woloson, Tinkham and McGregor. Woloson was also the cinematographer and editor, and the film has an original score by Noa Margalit.
Per the official synopsis: “Set against the backdrop of a mysterious war, ‘Littermates’ follows two disoriented survivors who take refuge at an isolated cottage in the English countryside. Liam and Mel arrive bloodied, speechless and unable to fully understand what has happened to them. They are taken in by Chester, an enigmatic caretaker who feeds them, teaches them to speak again and establishes a carefully controlled domestic order where good behavior earns “nifties,” tokens that can be exchanged for small comforts including karaoke, hot tub time, dance parties and favorite meals.
As explosions, gunfire, sirens and karaoke fill the air, their makeshift family begins to fracture — exposing the fear, loyalty and unanswered questions holding it together.” “We made ‘Littermates’ to explore the strange, primal and often trivial relationship between siblings.
