Luka Doncic joins Damian Lillard in NBA history after another dominant performance in the Lakers' win over Miami.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic is putting together one of the most impressive scoring stretches of his NBA career, and his latest performance has earned him another place in the league's history books. Doncic joined Damian Lillard as the only two players in NBA history to record at least 35 points, five rebounds, five assists and five three-pointers in five consecutive games. The historic achievement came during Monday night's 138-117 victory over the Miami Heat, when Doncic finished with 42 points, 13 assists and seven rebounds while connecting on six 3-pointers.

It marked his fifth consecutive game scoring at least 35 points and his second straight 40-point performance. The Lakers star has been nearly unstoppable during that stretch, averaging 43.4 points while helping Los Angeles overcome an uneven start to the season. His latest performance came just one night after he scored 45 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in a 131-125 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

Against Miami, Doncic wasted little time establishing himself offensively, finishing the first quarter with 16 points, five assists and four rebounds. He entered halftime with 24 points before adding nine more in the opening minutes of the third quarter, helping Los Angeles extend its advantage. While Doncic led the way, the Lakers received important contributions from several other players.

Austin Reaves finished with 27 points, while Walker Kessler recorded 15 points and 15 rebounds. Los Angeles improved to 6-2 with the victory. The Lakers also demonstrated their offensive balance, recording 39 assists while shooting 57% from the field.

Following the game, Doncic emphasized that the team's success remained his biggest priority. Like I said, obviously when we win, it feels way better," Doncic said, according to the Los Angeles Times. Joining Lillard in the NBA record books is another reminder of what makes Doncic one of the league's most difficult players to defend.

His ability to take over games as both a scorer and facilitator continues to set him apart. More importantly for Los Angeles, that individual brilliance is beginning to translate into team success. With Doncic leading the way, the Lakers are building momentum and showing they have the offensive firepower to compete with the Western Conference's best.
