Marvel’s Unusual VisionQuest Release Schedule Officially Revealed

The release schedule for Marvel's VisionQuest has been revealed ahead of the Disney Plus show's premiere this month

Before Marvel returns to the big screen this December with Avengers: Doomsday, the company is coming back to the small screen this month. VisionQuest, the pseudo-sequel to 2021's WandaVision and 2024's Agatha All Along, is set to premiere on Oct. 14. The limited series will be eight episodes, and we've just learned the full release schedule.

As with previous Disney Plus shows, VisionQuest will receive a two-episode premiere. After that, things get a bit strange. The latest reports indicate that VisionQuest won't release new episodes once a week, nor will it release all of its episodes in one big block.

After the two-episode premiere, episodes will be released in two-episode batches weekly until the final two episodes, which will be released one per week. Here's the whole reported release schedule for VisionQuest: This confirms that the show will conclude before Avengers: Doomsday is released in theaters, giving audiences plenty of time to catch up in case any characters appear in the upcoming film. VisionQuest focuses on Paul Bettany's Vision following the events of WandaVision.

He seems to be going through some stuff following the events of that show as well as the death of his wife, Wanda Maximoff. Much of the show appears to take place in a digital space that could be within Vision's own mind. There we see plenty of android/AI characters from previous Marvel projects in human form.

That includes FRIDAY, EDITH, JARVIS, and Ultron. There are some glimpses of Vision and Ultron's robotic forms, but most of the show appears to keep them in human form, which just means James Spader can ham it up as much as possible as Ultron. Marvel has been billing VisionQuest as the conclusion to the trilogy that started with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along.

Vision will go on a journey (a quest even) to track down his family, specifically his son Tommy. Depending on how the series ends, we could see Vision and Tommy in Doomsday. Bettany has not been confirmed for the film; the Russo brothers have said several appearances are being kept secret.
