Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur believes Jordan Love is among the pantheon of "elite" NFL quarterbacks, no matter what anyone else thinks. When speaking to reporters on Wednesday, LaFleur was asked what Love needs to improve in order to make the jump to "elite" status. "I'll let you guys figure that out what the next step is," the veteran coach added.
"A lot of times, it's due to team success, and the more success we have, the more people will view him in that light." Love is entering his fourth season as the Packers' starting quarterback. Through his first full season as QB1 in 2023, he completed 64.2% of his pass attempts for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. In 15 appearances last season, he threw for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions with a 66.3 completion percentage.
The Packers will begin their 2026 season with a Week 1 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
