Miley Cyrus is setting off her new era with the release of the single and video for “Bass Persuades,” the title track off her upcoming 10th album. This marks her first project as part of her recently minted deal Atlantic, which comes after two albums on Columbia including “Endless Summer Vacation” and “Something Beautiful.” For “Bass Persuades,” which features 10 tracks, Cyrus appeared to drop her last name to go mononomously this era. Earlier this week, she revealed the title and cover art for the album, explaining her mission statement on social media: “Music takes hold of us.
We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong,” she wrote. That’s what the title means to me.
Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album.” Cyrus also announced her grand return to the stage with a pair of shows at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18. The gigs will feature support from Model/Actriz, who appears on “Bass Persuades,” and the flier suggests that Cyrus will be performing the album in full.
