My Chemical Romance have landed their first No. 1 album with The Black Parade, twenty years after its original release. Upon its initial drop, their macabre opus peaked at #2. They released a deluxe version of The Black Parade on its twentieth anniversary, and it jumped back onto the 200 chart at No. 139.

For the Nov. 7-dated chart, The Black Parade has now jumped to No. 1 — the first time that MCR have ever topped that chart. This mega-jump and major feat also mark the longest wait ever for an album to reach No. 1, surpassing the nearly 16 years it took for Toby Keith’s 35 Biggest Hits to reach the top of the chart following his passing in 2024. The album's rise from No. 139 to No. 1 is also the largest jump to the top since Taylor Swift released Fearless (Taylor’s Version), which soared from No. 157 to No. 1 on the Oct. 16, 2021-dated chart.

My Chem overtook pop queen and Olivia Rodrigo, knocking you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love down to the #2 spot. Rodrigo doesn't seem upset about that. Last week, she posted about seeing one of their shows.

The previous #2, Zach Bryan’s Young Manhood And Other Donatable Organs, falls to #7. Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem and Ella Langley’s Dandelion remain stable at #3 and #4, respectively. Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide overtakes Taylor Swift’s The Life Of A Showgirl, with the two albums swapping their respective #5 and #6 positions.

Kahan's Stick Season stays at #8, Drake's HABIBTI falls to #9, and Olivia Dean’s The Art Of Loving slips from #9 to #10. This wonderful news comes after My Chem finished out their 5-show residency at Hollywood Bowl, with the final shows on Oct. 30 and 31. At their last show, they performed a couple of rarities — "Someone Out There Loves You," which they hadn't played since 2008, and "Early Sunsets Over Monroeville," which was their first time performing in full since 2003.
