New Browns Star Trade Target Emerges Ahead of Ravens Matchup

The Cleveland Browns are being linked to Philadelphia Eagles star guard Landon Dickerson with the deadline getting closer.

After losing their most recent game to the New York Jets, the Cleveland Browns now have a 3-2 record. While the Browns losing against the Jets was tough, they are still in a solid spot at this point in the season. Now, they will be looking to get back into the win column in their very important Week 6 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

As the Browns prepare for their game against the Ravens, they are being connected to a notable trade candidate from the Philadelphia Eagles. In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Kristopher Knox named the Browns one of the top suitors for Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson. "Dickerson has been out since he tried to play through a knee injury in Week 1 but landed on injured reserve.

He's one of the league's top interior linemen when healthy, and the Eagles certainly won't part with him for proverbial pennies. However, if the buzz indicates that Dickerson could be available, guard-needy teams should be placing calls," Knox wrote. "Potential Suitors: Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers." The possibility of the Eagles shopping Dickerson this season could be there.

The Eagles are struggling right now, as they have a 2-3 record and lost each of their last three games. Thus, if the losses keep coming, Philadelphia could very well make Dickerson available for trade. If they do, the Browns would be wise to target him.

If the Browns landed Dickerson, he would give them a three-time Pro Bowl guard to work with as they aim to make the playoffs this year. Thus, there could be a good match here between Cleveland and Dickerson. It will be interesting to see if the Browns pursue the 6-foot-6 guard because of it from here.
