NFL Taunts Packers About Officiating With Savage Troll Post

The NFL made a post poking fun at a call that went against the Packers and for the Lions in Sunday's game in Detroit.

The Green Bay Packers didn't hide their frustrations with the league's officiating after their 20-17 loss on the road to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. In a video posted by Matt Scheidman of The Athletic, safety Xavier McKinney made it clear that he'd rather incur a fine from the NFL than stand idle and watch his team be victim to poor officiating. Even Fox broadcaster Tom Brady questioned some of the penalties, saying Green Bay should not have been called for roughing the passer.

Detroit was penalized five times for 50 yards. The Packers were assessed eight penalties for 81 yards. For whatever reason, the league thought they'd try and interject some humor at the expense of the Packers, posting a video of Lions players dancing after Green Bay defensive lineman Karl Brooks was called for offsides, giving Detroit a first down with two minutes to play in the fourth quarter. "Did we miss somebody?" the caption of the NFL's post reads alongside a grinning face with sweat emoji. The post from the league reads like a taunt, or the sort of flex they'd penalize Matthew Golden for doing.

Fans reacted to the league's troll post. "Yeah you missed 8 taunting penalties," wrote a fan who thought the league should have penalized the Lions. "This post will stay up and there will never be an explanation or apology.

It’s annoying," posted another. "How is this not a penalty!? How are you promoting this!?

You are a complete joke of an organization!" commented a poster. "Saving this tweet so I can send it to people when they ask why I stopped watching football," wrote another. "Yeah…..your officials made up some calls today in this game," argued a fan.
