North Korea fires off apparent ballistic missile

North Korea fired off an apparent ballistic missile on Sunday, Japan’s Defense Ministry said, with the weapon falling into the sea shortly after its launch. The North last fired off a ballistic missile on Sept. 12, when it launched “multiple” short-range weapons from its eastern coast, a day after Japan concluded trilateral military drills with the U.S. and South Korea. The South Korean military also confirmed the launch, saying it had taken place from the North’s eastern coast.
