Olandria Warns Not to Sleep in Earrings 'Unless You Want to Have Chicken Cutlets on Your Ear'

Ever since breaking through in Love Island USA season 7, Olandria Carthen has been making the fashion world her oyster. The Alabama native has been conquering red carpets and stealing hearts one look at a time, racking up collaborations and campaigns aplenty along the way. Pat McGrath's newest collaboration with Pandora, which launches today, October 8.

In the weeks leading up to the campaign launch, Olandria has been traveling the world in the name of fashion, flying back and forth from Paris and Milan for Fashion Week and New York and Los Angeles for everything from CultureCon to the VMAs. You couldn't tell from her impeccable makeup and glamorous tousled hair, but Olandria confesses she's actually getting over a cold. To celebrate the launch of Pat McGrath's new Pandora collection, featuring Olandria as its main star, the Love Island alum sat down with Teen Vogue to discuss all things jewelry and style and share her beauty PSAs, as well as all her feelings about navigating the next chapter of her career as a newly single woman.

Teen Vogue: I was actually watching a video of yours with Glamour from not even a year ago where you said you were most star-struck to be followed by Pat McGrath. How did you feel when you got the call to actually work with her on the Pandora campaign? Olandria Carthen: I have never said yes faster in my life.

I absolutely love Pat McGrath, and I absolutely love Pandora. I was a fan of both of them even before this project, so being able to be the face of this campaign was everything. From meeting Pat McGrath at Glamour's Women of the Year, I never imagined me working with her in this capacity.

I'm still grateful for it. Everything about this project has been overwhelming, but in the best way. I absolutely love the charms.

They're so beautiful, and I really feel like they represent Mother Pat in the best way possible. Being part of this campaign has been a dream. TV: Pat McGrath is a legend in her own right, but she has also worked with so many legends in her career.
