Media icon Oprah Winfrey is set to host a series of live performances at the Las Vegas Sphere in 2027, an event she describes as the culmination of decades dedicated to fostering self-discovery and personal growth through publishing, broadcasting, and live appearances. Scheduled for April 2-4, the four shows form a production titled "Oprah Winfrey's AHA," referencing the breakthroughs and moments of insight Winfrey has long categorized as "AHA" moments, a recurring theme across her body of work. Organizers stated the two-hour presentation will blend visual art, poetry, storytelling, and music, featuring appearances by Grammy-winning artist Jacob Collier, author and poet Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet, and gospel singer Wintley Phipps.
Winfrey explained that the project was conceived after she attended a performance by rock band U2 at the venue. "This is the culmination of everything I've wanted to say my whole life to people," the talk show host told . She recalled standing in the venue during the concert, listening to the crowd's cheers and recognizing that the immersive environment possessed potential far beyond typical entertainment, serving instead as a powerful setting for human connection.
"I was standing there alone, looking up, going, 'What just happened?'" she said, describing the moment her vision began to take shape. "'Wow, this could be used for something bigger than a concert. You can use this to transform the way people see themselves,'" Winfrey remembered thinking.
Motivated by that experience, she moved to design her own event for the venue, focusing on signature themes from her career, including personal growth, self-discovery and human connection. Winfrey, 72, host of the twice-weekly "The Oprah Podcast," began her broadcasting career in local news in Nashville and Baltimore before rising to prominence in American media through "The Oprah Winfrey Show," which aired for 25 years. She subsequently built a business empire across television, film, publishing and digital media, while establishing herself as a major philanthropist and interviewer of authors, celebrities and world leaders.
Live Nation is presenting the production, with Winfrey serving among its executive producers. Presale registration opens on Tuesday, according to producers. Join thought-provoking conversations, follow other Independent readers and see their replies
