The Green Bay Packers offensive line can't stay healthy.

The Green Bay Packers can not catch a break along their offensive line. During the first quarter of the team's Week 7 matchup against the Detroit Lions, center Sean Rhyan went down with an ankle injury. Rhyan was eventually ruled out, which proves it could be serious and puts the Packers in a very difficult spot.

To make matters worse, backup center Jacob Monk, who replaced Rhyan, then left the game with a quadriceps injury and his return is questionable. With Monk also sidelined, the Packers have now turned to John Williams, but he had not previously snapped in any game, including the preseason. In some better news, though, Williams looked to hold his own during his first drive as the Packers drove 74 yards in 12 plays to tie the game 7-7, thanks to a 14-yard touchdown reception by tight end Tucker Kraft.

A seventh-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Williams played college football at Cincinnati, where he appeared in four games as a freshman. In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he played primarily at right tackle, appearing in 24 games with three starts. Then in 2023, Williams took over as the Bearcats starting left tackle, which is where he served for the next two years before declaring for the NFL Draft.
