The San Diego Padres have called up Dustin Harris to their roster and have sent down Sung-Mung Song to Triple-A El Paso.

The San Diego Padres are making some changes to their roster. The Padres have announced that they have selected outfielder Dustin Harris' contract. In addition, the Padres shared that they have optioned Sung-Mun Song to Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.

Lucas Giolito was also transferred to the 60-day injured list. Harris has undoubtedly earned this call-up to the Padres, as he has been fantastic with Triple-A El Paso since signing his minor league deal with San Diego in July. In 29 games with the Triple-A club, he has posted six home runs, 26 RBI, and a very impressive .350 batting average.

With this, it is entirely understandable that he is now getting a chance on the Padres' major league roster. Harris also appeared in 17 games split between the Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros earlier this season, where he recorded one double and a .250 batting average. As for Song, he has gotten into his first MLB action this season with the Padres.

In 62 games with the NL West club, he has posted one home run, 15 RBI, and a .202 batting average. Overall, he has had his struggles with San Diego and will now be looking to heat up with Triple-A El Paso from here.
