Pamela Anderson Debuts a ‘Betty Boop’ Bob, Her Shortest, Most Voluminous Hairstyle in Years

Pamela Anderson has me reconsidering everything I thought I knew about hair inspo. Because while most of us are busy saving pictures of Zendaya’s pixie cut or Dakota Johnson's brow-skimming fringe to our Pinterest boards, Pam has seemingly gone straight to the animation archives. The actor stepped out at the 6th Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles , sporting a bob that looked as though the 1930s cartoon character had made a rather glamorous trip to the salon.

Of course, Pam wasn't short of A-list company from the night. From Kendall Jenner to Taylor Swift, the gala welcomed a host of Hollywood heavyweights. But while the red cream carpet was awash with designer gowns and enough expensive makeup to fill my entire bathroom cabinet, it was Pamela's new hairdo that had me zooming in for a closer look.

As shown, her look was defined by big, bouncy volume, rounded edges, and a chin-skimming silhouette that's giving vintage bombshell. By curling her hair under and piling on the volume, Pam created the illusion of a much shorter cut without having to part with a single inch. Now, Pamela has spent recent years embracing a more pared-back approach to beauty, making this look all the more exciting.

It's also a reminder that reinvention doesn't always require a dramatic life overhaul—or even a pair of scissors. Sometimes all you need is a curling iron and heaps of hairspray. If anyone needs me, I'll be trawling the cartoon archives for the next follicular muse.
