Power Trip have released a pair of new songs, “Precinct 3” and “Scavenger,” the Dallas thrash band’s first new music since the death of singer Riley Gale in 2020. In 2024, the group’s founding four musicians — guitarist Blake Ibanez, guitarist Nick Stewart, bassist Chris Whetzel, and drummer Chris Ulsh — confirmed plans to reunite, enlisting singer Seth Gilmore for a series of live shows that year. Those shows ultimately led to the group returning to the studio with Gilmore, and work on the band’s third album began.

Ahead of the new LP, Power Trip will play three more shows in 2026, including support on Slayer’s Reign of Blood 40th Anniversary show in Mexico City on October 21 and a slot at their hometown Sick New World Texas on October 24.
