The magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck at 2004 GMT
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.7 has struck Papua New Guinea, according to reports. The quake hit at 2004 GMT on Wednesday, per GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences. It was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 mile), GFZ said.
