The Baltimore Ravens opened up their 2026 NFL season with an impressive win over the Indianapolis Colts. In the first half of that Week 1 contest, wide receiver Zay Flowers reeled in five catches for 150 yards and one touchdown. However, on his fifth catch of the day, he sustained a hamstring injury that held him off the field for the remainder of the game.
Flowers missed the first two days of practice as the Ravens prepared for this past Sunday's matchup against the New Orleans Saints. He was able to return to practice in a limited capacity on Friday, but was not cleared for Baltimore's Week 2 clash. Without Flowers on the field, the Ravens fell to the visiting Saints with a 24-17 final score.
On Monday, Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said there's optimism that Flowers — along with Nnamdi Madubuike and Ronnie Stanley — could be healthy enough to take the field against the Dallas Cowboys this coming Sunday. Flowers avoided a long-term injury to his hamstring. In fact, reports indicate that he would have returned in Week 1 had it been a more consequential late-season contest.
Sunday's Ravens-Cowboys game will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
