Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is in serious jeopardy of missing his second straight game due to an ankle injury. The Ravens haven't officially ruled out the two-time NFL MVP yet, but things aren't looking very promising three days ahead of the team's Week 6 contest against the Cleveland Browns. Jackson wasn't spotted at practice on Thursday and The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec opined that the 29-year-old's status for Sunday "seems pretty obvious." Baltimore is currently atop the AFC North at 4-1, but the Browns, Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers are all just behind the Ravens at 3-2.
The division leaders' road game against Cleveland will precede a Week 7 home tilt versus the Bengals in Baltimore's first two AFC North showdowns of the year. Jackson and company's only loss of the season came in Week 2 against a now 1-4 New Orleans Saints team. The Louisville product and four-time Pro Bowler has struggled with injuries in recent years, missing five contests during both the 2021 and 2022 campaigns and four last season.
Jackson has a league-best 119.6 passer rating in his four games this fall, while going 68-for-96 with 967 passing yards, six touchdowns and one interception. Jackson's added 19 rushing attempts for 144 yards and one touchdown this season. Ravens fans are plenty familiar with backup signal-caller Tyler Huntley, who spent his first four NFL seasons in Baltimore from 2020 to 2023, before making five starts for the Miami Dolphins in the 2024 campaign.
Huntley re-joined the Ravens in August 2025. The undrafted 28-year-old has recorded a 67.1% completion percentage for 3,476 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 32 career regular season games, including 17 starts. Huntley led Baltimore to a "Sunday Night Football" overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5 by going 24-for-32 with 201 passing yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
