The Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens appeared to be going to overtime in Rio de Janeiro after a game-tying kick from Brandon Aubrey late in the fourth quarter. However, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense had other plans. With seven seconds remaining in the game, Jackson completed a 27-yard pass to wide receiver Zay Flowers — quickly calling a timeout with one second remaining in the game.
Tyler Loop nailed the 56-yard field goal, giving the Ravens their stunning 34-31 victory. NFL analyst Rex Ryan didn't hold back on the Cowboys defense following this collapse. "I can't let Dallas off the hook like this," Ryan said.
"They're still the work damn two-minute defense in the National Football League, by far. ... They don’t know how the hell to win a game. They stink." Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott took the blame for this loss, taking the pressure off the Dallas defense.
"Frustrated," Prescott said, via the team's official website. We don't call ourselves the best offense, GOTI, and get down to the one-yard line and don't put it in. Not a lot of words or full explanation of it.
"Defense shouldn't even have been in that position. Those guys were over there saying 'it's on us,' absolutely not. We've got to put the game away, period." The Cowboys, now 1-2, will face off against the Houston Texans in Week 4.
