The Tennessee Titans are 0-5 to begin the 2026 NFL season, furthering their losing streak against the previously-winless Houston Texans this past weekend. This is unfamiliar territory for rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate, who played his three collegiate seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes. The program lost just six total games through Tate's career spanning 2023-25, winning a College Football Playoff national championship in his second campaign.
Tate was asked about the Titans' 0-5 start when speaking to reporters on Wednesday. I ain't never lose like this in my life. We're trying to turn it around," Tate said.
The Titans selected Tate with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He's had a slow start to his professional career, save for a nine-catch, 145-yard performance in Week 4. This past weekend's loss to the Texans represented his worst game thus far, reeling in just one catch for six yards on five targets.
Tennessee will continue to look for its first win of the season in Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
