The Scottish Premiership transfer window is closed after more than 120 new signings. There have also been plenty of departures as clubs hope the season will shape up to be as dramatic as the last. We answer some key questions after a busy summer of transfer activity.
There's certainly frustration from the fans about how this window has ended for Celtic. But the Hoops hierarchy are likely to be content with the business they've done - while recognising it could've been better. They have brought in £49.5m from player sales - with Daizen Maeda, Arne Engels and Reo Hatate being the big-name outgoings.
A total of £36.2m has been spent on strengthening the squad - breaking their transfer record with the £11m+ signing of Kasper Hogh, as well as splashing cash for Camilo Duran, Haissem Hassan, Mika Baur and Joel van den Berg. Hogh and Duran are Champions League-type signings - with the latter already making a huge impact at Celtic Park. What Celtic will be most frustrated about is not getting their prime midfield target Gvidas Gineitis after lengthy talks with Torino.
I'm told this is one that could be reignited in the January window. On the attacking side Celtic look okay and seem to have no issue with scoring goals now, which was a problem last season. The jury is out on their three new central midfielders and whether Engels has been truly replaced with quality.
It's also going to be a wait-and-see game to determine whether Chelsea teenager Landon Emenalo is sufficient cover for Kieran Tierney at left-back - a job-share role in which the more seasoned Marcelo Saracchi excelled in last term. Celtic's starting eleven does still look strong - and is perhaps stronger than last season. But, there are still questions about the quality of the squad depth.
