Elmo, Abby Cadabby and Nina travel to Kenya to meet an orphaned elephant they adopted online, embarking on a journey filled with lions, zebras, giraffes and more of Africa’s infamous wildlife and culture. When it’s time to go home, Elmo doesn’t want to leave his elephant behind, but with the help of his friends, learns the best way to keep her happy is to let her stay in the wild. ET on PBS and PBS Kids and will be available to stream on PBS.
The special is directed and produced by Benjamin Lehmann. Sal Perez and Kay Wilson Stallings serve as executive producers for Sesame Workshop. Bill Murphy serves as producer for “Nature,” with Janet Hess as editor.
